Kids Ministry That’s Safe, Fun, & Jesus-Centered

NHP Kids is open every Sunday during the 11:00 AM service for potty-trained through 5th grade. Your child will experience age-appropriate Bible teaching, worship, and lots of fun in a safe, welcoming environment.

What parents can expect

  • Secure check-in opens 15 minutes before service; first-time registration takes ~2 minutes.

  • Background-checked team and two-adult policy in every room.

  • Age groups: Potty-Trained to 5th.

  • Special needs or allergies? Tell us at check-in and we’ll partner with you.

TEENS & MIDWEEK

A Place for Students to Belong, Grow, and Lead

NHP Teens exist to help 6th–12th graders follow Jesus together. Expect high-energy games, real conversations, and practical teaching that connects faith to everyday life.

What students can expect

  • Belong: Small groups + mentors who know their names.

  • Grow: Bible-centered teaching and prayer.

  • Lead: Serve on Sundays and at outreach events.

Pastor Ruth Waters

Ruth Waters is a native of Cavite City, Philippines, but raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She carries a unique anointing for prophetic intercessory prayer. She has served the local church for nearly twenty years as a youth leader, young adult leader, Sunday School teacher, and intercessory prayer leader, as well as various other ministry roles. Ruth has studied at Christ for the Nations School of Ministry in Dallas, Texas. She carries a deep passion for bringing individuals from all walks of life into a realization of who God has called them to be. She desires that through the local church, they will be given the tools necessary to walk into their God-given purpose.

Pastor Sean Waters

Pastor Sean Waters, a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, has dedicated his life to the local church. Pastor Sean started preaching at the age of 15.  With over 20 years of ministry experience, he recognizes the necessity of servant leadership. Throughout his years of ministry, he has served in various capacities, including worship leader, youth and young adult leader and intercessory prayer leader. Pastor Sean graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Consumer Science, Early Childhood Development. He served in the United States Navy from 2012  to 2017. He is married to Ruth Waters. Together they have three beautiful children, Esther, David, and Brietyn.


Pastor Sean carries a special anointing to prophetically articulate the word of God in a way that brings restoration and transformation into the lives of those who listen. It is his desire to equip the body of Christ to fulfill their God-given identity through authentic relationships with one another as well as a true encounter with the Holy Spirit.

I, the undersigned, being the parent or legal guardian of the youth named above, do hereby consent to the participation of my youth in all the scheduled youth activities of New Healing Place Church, and any other supervised activities customarily associated with its youth group. I understand that I will be notified in the case of a medical emergency. However, in the event that I cannot be reached, I authorize the calling of a doctor and the providing of necessary medical services in the event that my youth is injured or becomes ill. I hereby grant permission to use the photographs/video described for any legal use, including but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content for New Healing Place Church. Furthermore, I understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me.
